Plymouth and Shawano events set up three days at Cedar Lake for the World of Outlaws Late Models

CONCORD, NC – July 18, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series continues the 2018 season with a swing through Wisconsin that includes stops at three different tracks with five days of racing in just six days. The Series swing through the Badger State is one of the richest weeks of the season with more than $250,000 up for grabs.

The action-packed week kicks off at Plymouth Dirt Track on Monday, July 30, followed by Shawano Speedway on Tuesday, July 31, and culminates with the highest paying Outlaws show of the year, the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway on Aug. 2-4.

FAIRBURY, IL – July 16, 2018 – On July 27-28, the town of Fairbury will double in size as dirt Late Model lovers from around the globe flock to Fairbury American Legion. The energy at the historic quarter-mile clay oval is electric for the annual Prairie Dirt Classic, and the unique format keeps the crowd on the edge of their seats. But for World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series Director Matt Curl, the event also holds a far more personal significance; it is a homecoming and a celebration of the journey that brought him to his current career in the industry.

Huge World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series event set for 29th annual running on July 27-28

FAIRBURY, IL — The Prairie Dirt Classic (PDC) presented by Bank of Pontiac at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (FALS) already draws a huge crowd and is well known as one of dirt Late Model racing’s most thrilling events. This year, though, even more fans will have an opportunity to witness the intense action that has made the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series extravaganza a three-time winner of DirtonDirt.com’s Race of the Year.

When the 29th annual running of the PDC takes place July 27-28 at the high-banked, quarter-mile oval located in the middle of the idealic Midwest town of Fairbury, DirtVision.com and DirtonDirt.com will provide live pay-per-view video coverage of every lap of competition for the first time ever. In addition, the weekend will be recorded for later broadcast on the CBS Sports Network, exposing the race to a wider television audience.

CONCORD, NC– July 2, 2018– The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series treks out to the Midwest for six separate $10,000-to-win events in July. This is the first time in 2018 that the Outlaws will be west of the Mississippi River.

World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series driver Jason Johnson sustained fatal injuries in an accident at Beaver Dam Raceway on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

During Lap 18 of the Jim Boyd Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway, Johnson was involved in a crash battling for the lead on the backstretch of the third-mile oval. Emergency crews quickly attended to the situation and transported Johnson via air to Aurora Medical Center, where he later succumbed to the injuries.

Johnson, 41, of Eunice, LA, is survived by his wife Bobbi and five-year-old son Jaxx.

Penalty Report

SARVER, PA — June 22, 2018 — Late Model driver Scott Bloomquist failed to report for his drug test at Lernerville Speedway for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series Firecracker 100. Officials from Drug Free Sport classified his absence as a "test refusal.” Bloomquist is disqualified from the event and will receive corresponding penalties as outlined in the World of Outlaws Substance Abuse Policy.

2018 LMS Dubuque Farley

FARLEY, IA – June 19, 2018 – For the first time ever in the state of Iowa, dirt Late Model fans will be granted unprecedented access to the stars of the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series. Every ticket purchased in advance for the World of Outlaws events at Dubuque Speedway on July 6 and Farley Speedway on Aug. 6 will come with a free fan pit pass.

With special access to the pit area, fans will be able to meet their favorite drivers, watch crew members turn wrenches on the 800 horsepower machines, attend and listen to the drivers meeting, see lineups and results at the World of Outlaws command center and more.

2018 LMS Summer Nats

CONCORD, NC – June 11, 2018 ­– The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series and DIRTcar Summer Nationals stars get set to collide for two thrilling shootouts to cap off the month of June. The battle between the best Late Model drivers in the country begins at Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, IN on June 29 and leads to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, MO on June 30.

2018 LMS Lernerville

CONCORD, NC– June 4, 2018–The 12th annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway is just around the corner. Both fans and drivers look forward to three days of racing and three times the party. The party starts on Thursday, June 21, continues on Friday, June, 22 and concludes on Saturday, June 23.

All three nights contain complete Sears Craftsman shootouts with $6,000-to-win on both Thursday and Friday. The finale event begins on Saturday as the stars of the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models Series alongside other national and regional drivers compete in the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100-lap Sears Craftsman Feature event.

2018 LMS Stateline Ransomville Wayne County

CONCORD, NC­– May 26, 2018– The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series has completed 12 races so far this season, and by the end of June that number will nearly double. On the docket for next month are 10 races in six separate states, including Tennessee, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Missouri.

The most demanding stretch of racing in June will be mid-month with three stops at three separate tracks in two states: Stateline Speedway in Jamestown, NY on June 14; Ransomville Speedway in Ransomville, NY on June 15; and Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH on June 16. Full-time World of Outlaws drivers and their teams will travel almost 400 miles between the trio of dirt tracks to face regional competitors in New York and Ohio who dare stand nose-to-nose with the toughest bunch in Late Model racing.
