Two nights of DIRTcar Late Models (Feb. 12-13) followed by four nights of action for the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series (Feb. 14-17) are in store for the final half of the 12-day short-track racing extravaganza.

2018 Schedule Expands

Dirt tracks in Georgia, Iowa and New York added to schedule

CONCORD, NC­– Jan. 19, 2018­– The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series’ 2018 schedule just got even bigger with new additions and updates to an already exciting 30th commemorative anniversary season.

“Our goal for 2018 was to develop a diverse schedule that covers a large geographic area in effort to serve dirt late model fans across the country,” said Series Director Matt Curl. “With the addition of tracks, alongside a few updates to our schedule, we feel as though we have delivered.”

Reigning DIRTcar Late Model Champion Rusty Schlenk Joins Outlaws for 2018

Rusty Schlenk Racing (RSR) would like to formally announce that Rusty will be running for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series “Rookie of the Year” for 2018. The dotted line on the contract has been signed and the throttle foot is ready to stomp. The two time, and current, DIRTcar National Champion has been wanting to run a national touring series for a few years now and the stars have finally aligned to make that happen. Rusty will be piloting the CJ1 Rayburn by RSR owned by Tyler Bork. The two have had great success as a team since joining up in 2017 and look to continue down that path.

Grigsby, alongside other Officials, will bring new energy to the Series and the sport

CONCORD, NC– Dec. 22, 2017– The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series welcomes Erik Grigsby as the Series Race Director for the 2018 season. For the past six years, Grigsby has served as Race Director for the DIRTcar Late Model Summer Nationals and the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals.

2017 LMS PRI

The 30th annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in Indianapolis, IN kicked off on Thursday Dec. 7 at the Indiana Convention Center and concludes on Saturday, Dec. 9. As expected and encouraged, there has been a lot of buzz going on in the racing community and the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series is in the thick of it. 2018 celebrates 30th anniversary of inaugural campaign

CONCORD, NC— Nov. 28, 2017— The 2018 World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its inaugural season with 47 races in 18 states stretching from February to November, adding new venues and huge races to its solid foundation of exciting events.

In 1988, the inaugural season featured 17 races in 11 states. In 2004, the series was rekindled to push the sport, drivers and passion of the fans to a level unimaginable just 30 years ago. Now, February is just around the corner with six races in nine days to wave the green flag on this milestone season. For the fourth consecutive year, the season opens Feb. 9-10 with the Winter Freeze at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, GA.
